v3.80.1
Deadlocks and the Two Bugs.
Responsive Widgets: So responsive! They flex, they fold, they stack, they squash. These new widgets make multi-platform emails a breeze.
We improved some things
Database
Deadlocks? Not anymore! Our improved data layer is at least 127% more robust. At least.
We fixed some stuff
Emailer
Tel: links are no longer mangled by the prettify process
Merge tags will now always merge, even if you hid them inside the alt text of an image.
v3.80.0
Emails and Monsters.
Adhoc Emailer: We have completely overhauled the adhoc emailer. Gone are the accordians, gone are the multiple pointless sign-offs, gone is the page flow that puts Escher to shame. We hope you like it!
Integrations: Did you know RADAR is capable of talking to many outside systems? Probably not, given how little we advertise the fact. The truth is from FeeFo to JotForm, Twitter to Github, we have it covered with great panache. So, over time, we will be adding formal integration panels into RADAR and to get the ball rolling we're proud to present our OptinMonster integration.
We fixed some stuff
Reporting
Saved reports that reference obsolete fields no longer crash when loading.
v3.79.2
Another one five bite the dust.
We fixed some stuff
Campaign > Save
Firefox users rejoice. You can now use seeds in your campaigns!
Criteria Select
Auto-complete errors are a thing of the past.
Emailer > Adhoc
Adhoc emailer should behave itself now. It will no longer forget you changed the content when you amend the subject line.
Once test addresses have been set once they'll remain until you change them.
Emailer > Recurring > Scheduler
Selected days are presented properly.
v3.79.1
Death by a thousand Githubs.
We improved some things
Emailer
We have vastly improved the HTML to Plaintext conversion output.
Emailer > Adhoc
We spruced things up a little.
Emailer > Recurring
Conditional Content can now also be used for Conditional Layout.
We fixed some stuff too
Calendar
The calendar no longer considered "goat" (or any other word) a valid value for "within the last" queries.
Contacts > View
Did you like entering postcodes into the RADAR ID box? Well, now you can't.
Emailer > Dashboard
All stats should process faster. As in, within seconds rather than hours.
Reports
In the unusual event of a crosstab or dataset failing to load it will at least fail gracefully now.
v3.79.0
They've mostly been working on Emailer, mostly.
Reply-To: I must admit it feels like rather a poor show to tout this as a new feature but there you go. We've brought back the reply-to fields, they're optional this time around and have a much improved UI. They have been added to Ad-hoc, Recurring and Triggered.
Improved Subject lines: We have added a quick merge-tag button into the subject line UI. This is also available in Ad-hoc, Recurring and Triggered.
Error trapping: One for everyone, this. We have completely overhauled our error-trapping and error-handling functionality. What this means for you is a substantial reduction in "malformed JSON errors" and a generally more stable system.
We improved some things
Emailer
Extended characters (everything outside the standard ASCII range, for you technical types) are now encoded automatically. Feel free to use ¡, ƒ or even ‡ in your emails from now on.
Emailer > Split Testing
We have temporarily removed this section. It will be back though, soon. *Spoiler warning* It will be in v3.80.0
We fixed some stuff too
Emailer > Conditional Content
We've removed the "add new" button that did nothing but cause errors. Use the flaps, Luke.
Emailer > Recurring > Review
Editing the HTML of a recurring mail with a single variant will no longer cause things to fall over.
v3.78.1
Under the bonnet redux
Even faster counting: We felt rather ashamed after v3.78.0. Merely blazing adjacent? For our users? What were we thinking?! Knuckles were rapped, noses pushed to grindstones and blazing fast counts have been achieved.
We improved some things
Admin > Users
New user accounts will receive a welcome mail.
Contacts > View
We have standardised our wildcards when it comes to searching. Forget %, it is all about * from here on out.
The campaign name has been added to the campaign group.
We've added the RADAR ID to the UI. It is the number in parentheses after the name, you can't miss it.
We fixed some stuff too
Campaigns > Visual Editor
Applying a control cell or limit to a campaign saved from a cell should now function exactly as you expect.
Contacts > View
The relationships panel now scrolls as appropriate.
Emailer > Triggered
The From preview now shows the correct information.
v3.78.0
Under the bonnet
Faster counting: We have tweaked, optimised and enhanced the internals of our count-engine for improved performance. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was blazing fast but we're in close proximity. Blazing adjacent perhaps?
Improved surveys: While we had our mechanic hats on we had a poke around inside the survey-engine too. Surveys are delivered in a fraction of the time now and have built in support for multi-language should you need to ask "Bore da, sut oedd eich gwyliau?"
We improved some things
Avatar > RADAR Blog
You can now launch the blog from inside RADAR. Surely this should have been given top billing in these here release notes.
v3.77.3
The one with the last-minute changes
We fixed some stuff too
Calendar
It shouldn't be possible to confuse the calendar by jumping back and forth between different date fields anymore.
v3.77.1
At least 0.1 better than v3.77.0
We improved some things
Emailer > Triggered
Now you can easily grab the URL needed to make these things work. Click 'copy' and you're good to go!
We fixed some stuff too
Admin > API
After an ever-so-brief downtime, this section is back and better than ever.
v3.77.0
It's a date!
Enhanced dates: Between, before, after, on. Four fantastic little date filters when all you want to do is run a report or build a campaign once every so often. However, when you're running that report daily and having to amend the date filters every. single. day... well, with our new range of date filters you can just set and forget! For a more in-depth look at the new date filters just head on over to our Feature Feature.
Usernames: We hear your pain, reallylongemail@verylongdomain.com. That little sigh as you type out your email address every time you log in. Just head on over to the profile section (just under the avatar menu in the top right) and set your username as you see fit.
We improved some things
Contacts > Manage
Searching on a note type will jump you straight to that type. That's one saved click right there!
Searching with "Has Notes" will jump you straight to the note they have. That's potentially MANY saved clicks right there!
Contacts > View
We've combined the Relationships panel with the Personal Details panel to improve the flow of the page.
Emailer > Dashboard
The Opens and Clicks bar-charts now present both total and unique values.
Emailer > Triggered
We've added Google Analytics support to triggered emails.
We fixed some stuff too
About RADAR
Now shows the correct year.
Contacts > View
Favouriting a group will always work. Always.
Emailer > Dashboard
The clicks graph is properly aligned should no-one have clicked yet this month.
Emailer > Recurring
The scheduler dialog no longer auto-selects Monday when working with weekly recurrences.
Emailer > Split Testing
The review screen no longer looks awful.
Visual Editor
OR cells together with confidence now we've banished the hideous malformed JaSON.
Feature Feature: Enhanced Dates
All you ever wanted to know about dates but were too afraid to ask.
Introduced in v3.77.0, these new date filters are pretty powerful and simplify previously complex tasks. Here is a run down of each new filter with notes and examples to get you up to speed.
is
The most flexible of the new filters, is comes with three additional criteria: value, period and offset.
For example:
Booking Date is 5 day(s) ago
would return all bookings made 5 days prior to today.
The period criteria is pretty special too in that you get a day's worth of results for "day", a week's worth of results for "week" and a month's worth of results for "month"!
For example:
Departure Date is 2 month(s) away
would return all departures for the entire month of October (assuming you ran this criteria in August).
Bonus info: a value of 0 means this... Last Contact is 0 month(s) away
would return all contacts who have been in touch this month.
is today
Simply checks if the given date is today.
For example:
Departure Date is today
would return all contacts departing today.
is before today and is after today
Only returns records where the given date is before today or is after today.
For example:
Last Contact is before today
would return all contacts that have been in touch prior to today.
is today and before and is today and after
Similar to is before today and is after today but also including anything happening today.
For example:
Departure Date is today and after
would return all contacts departing either today or in the future.
year is equal to, month is equal to, week is equal to and day is equal to
Each of these compares the given part of a given date to the specified criteria.
For example:
Departure Date month is equal to February
would return all contacts that ever departed in a February.
Last Contact year is equal to 1999
would return all contacts that haven't been in touch for quite a while.
anniversary is today and first anniversary is today
Checks if the anniversary of a given date is today. Either any anniversary (including the first) for anniversary is today or the first for first anniversary is today.
For example:
Booking Date first anniversary is today
would return all bookings made on this day last year.
is within the last and is within the next
Returns all matching dates within the last or next given days time including today.
For example:
Enquiry Date is within the last 30 days
would return all enquiries in the last 30 days, including those made today.
v3.76.11
Triggered operational emails? Oh yes!
Triggered Emails: From brochure request responses to a simple "Thanks for registering!", the RADAR triggered email pipeline offers a simple end-to-end process for operational emails. The fact it can be easily integrated with any other web system is just the icing on the cake.
We fixed some stuff too
Campaigns > Edit
The Campaign Name search box is now super quick.
Emailer > Split Testing
"Go to Review" now takes you to review.
Calendar
The calendar now opens to the previously selected date.
We have also highlighted todays date and the selected date.
v3.76.10
It's about time.
Time Picker: v3.76.10 introduces the new single-occurrence schedule dialog to the adhoc emailer section bringing a clean UI and elegant controls. We also felt compelled to spruce up the date picker while we were there.
API enhancements: All client. prefixed API calls now return a pretty useful RequestID. For the dry technical details please see our API Documentation.
We fixed some stuff too
Campaigns > Edit
System campaigns are now hidden away out of sight.
Emailer
Spaces in merge tags aren't allowed to cause a ruckus anymore.
The WYSIWYG editor now honours empty elements.
Emailer > Recurring
"Test All" now functions as expected.
A recurring campaign can be saved without a conditional content set.
Want to edit a previously saved recurring email? Now you can!
Single quotes now behave themselves inside segment criteria.
Profiler
Cohorts can be saved and reset with ease once more.
